God reveals himself to the Child

When Daren was about 6 years old, his father´s mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. At that time his father started to study the Bible. Daren remembers his father as having a spiritual inclination. He remembers that his father had Indus books. The pictures of Shiva and other good are still clear in his mind and he remembers to be terrifies by it. he remembers to see  the eternal torment depicted in those books, full of pain, horror and so many pervert acts.
But at that time his father, although having this spiritual inclination, was not taking his study of the Bible seriously. It was more out of curiosity. And although he was not really interested continuing to study, he was not capable to say it to the people who where studying with him. 
Daren´s mother was constantly mocking him, saying that she also was going to the church - different from his father, Daren´s mother didn´t have a spiritual inclination, her father didn´t believe in good and she only followed the traditions.
Finally, one day Daren´s father said to his mother: "instead of mocking me , why don´t you come and attend one of the lectures?"And that was what she did and from that time on also her started to study the Bible.
Daren was now around eight years old when also him started to have his own Bible study. Now remember that this was already after he had been sexually abused and was on the spiral of having sexual experiences. So when he started to study the Bible and learn about how God felt about the way he was behaving, the sexual practices, the lies and robberies, he really took it to heart and really felt he was doing something wrong and wanted to change.
So he decided to tell his parents about what happened with the nanny. His parents didn´t believed him. The said he was lying. They got mad at him! This was what marked Daren to have a double life. He didn´t tell them about the other sexual experiences - what for? probably they wouldn´t believe either or would get mad at him...so he started to keep things he was doing wrong to himself. Worst then that, he started feeling guilty for what had happened with the nanny. Remember that at that young age he already wanted it to happen and enjoyed it - of course he was a child with no notion of write and wrong and who had his base principles destroyed by that woman. But as he was learning more about God, his principles and his laws, he started to reproach himself for what had happened, most of all because his parents didn´t believed him and even got mad at him. And this guilt grew inside him. he started to hate himself for what had happened, because he knew God wouldn´t approve it. 
In the other hand, his actions started to change. His personality also started to change and he became more a more calm person. He would obey his parents even when the where not at home. If they forbidden him to watch TV, he wouldn´t watch. If his mother told him to not eat sweets, he wouldn´t.
Daren took God´s word to heart! It changed his life. Made him a better person. Made him change the course of his life for the better. 

But the damage was made! And it wouldn´t let Daren go so easily!

From the time he started to study the Bible along with his parents, Daren truly changed his personality and behavior. He became a better son, a better person. But his conscience kept accusing him for what he had done, specially regarding what had happened with the nanny and the German girl. Now, at the age of 9, his parents where pondering returning to Portugal. And it indeed happened. When Daren was 10 years old, his parents returned to Portugal, to the same town they used to live before going to Switzerland. Daren´s parents

It´s worthy to get to know Daren´s parents better to understand Daren himself. Daren´s father was a good man. He was from a small village in the interior of Portugal. he was the firstborn of tow brothers. When he was six years old he started to work, as it was the use among the people in Portugal at that time. He started to work whit Daren´s grandfather, shepherding sheep and goats. Its was a hard job for a man to do, imagine for a six year old boy. He often had no shoes and many times would sleep above a creek white a stone as pillow. This last until he was twelve years old. At that he went to work in a restaurant in the town nearby. But the work wasn´t easier at all. long hours of work, often form 6 am to 12 pm. many time with no resting day.
